West Country Fires are a very successful Fire and Fire Place retailer based in Southampton. They came to MAD with a plan; a plan to broaden their market and become a leading force in selling Fires direct to consumers and trade through their website.
West Country Fires had an existing website that was underperforming and not supporting their offline business. This was based around three key areas; an enquiry based online showroom, a trade lounge for tradesmen special offers and lifestyle section and feeling throughout.
The development of the new 100% organic Search Engine Optimisation solution with a bespoke content management system took 5 months in total and the West Country Fires website was launched in August 2004. This saw a dramatic rise in the number of visitors and generated a constant stream of enquiries.
Phase two of the West Country Fires website development saw the website turn from enquiry based to a combination of e-commerce and enquiry based. The new site was developed from July 2005 and re-launched in October 2005. Since then West Country Fires have had online sales from as far away from the United States and the daily visitor average has increased 9 fold since the website was launched.
Over a period of 2 years the West Country Fires website has developed into a tangible business asset and this is a trend that will continue through our ongoing relationship and development.
