Nevada Music is located in Portsmouth on the South coast and stocks a massive range of guitars, keyboards,
drums, amplifiers, books, CDs and DJ equipment.
Objective
Mike and Jenny at Nevada already had an e-commerce site which was failing and knew they needed a partner with
proven experience if they were to achieve an ambitious strategy.
They knew they had great products so the design and layout would have to reflect this but at the same time give
visitors the same rich and immersive experience as if they were actually walking into Nevada Music.
Solution
M.A.D produced a great site full of interactivity and feature-rich content. The site uses targeted search using
the familiar keyword route but the results are presented by 'Price', 'Category' and 'Brand'. This ensures users
find content that is absolutely relevant to them and avoids endless pages of search results.
Our research suggested users not only wanted to look at great products but also wanted to learn more about
the brand, manufacture and history of the product. So we introduced 'Focus On', a section that presents the
background and key facts behind a brand.
Other key features include 'Customer Product Reviews' on all product pages, 'Related Products' in the basket
page, 'Gig Stig', an independent review of all products sold by Nevada, along with a host of other great features.
Result
Since launch www.nevadamusic.co.uk has achieved at every level with sales set to hit £2.5 million this year
and visitor numbers increasing week by week.
