The brief
Connection approached M.A.D in 2003, having already established a fledgling e-commerce venture. They felt they needed
an experienced partner that could not only build them a great looking e-commerce web site, but that was also a
commercial heavyweight with proven experience in promoting, selling, online marketing and building successful
online ventures.
Objective
Connection wanted a website that would present its range of products in an appealing and captivating way, but that
would also ensure exposure of the brand to the wider audience.
Solution
M.A.D created a site that is functional, clearly branded, easy-to-use, and that, above all, executes on the primary
objective - to sell the product. The site navigation uses a 'By Goal' methodology, as most customers come to the
site wanting to improve one or several aspects of their fitness and wellbeing.
As well as comprehensive product listings from all of the top brands, the site provides advice and guidance on
Fat Burning, Weight Loss and General Fitness in the form of downloadable 'Fitness Guides'. All the promotional
banners on the site are managed using 'SmartLift Banner Management', which is one of the many modules that sit
within the SmartLift system.

Result
Since day 1 - when Connection came to M.A.D for a solution - our relationship has grown and continues to achieve
phenomenal success, performing way in excess of all predicted targets. In the first year alone, the site achieved
in excess of 40% above target on Sales and at the end of year 2 posted a 200% increase!
Currently, the site is on track for another excellent year with turnover predicted to clear £2.5 million.
