LifestylesatHome

Back

LifestylesatHome Founded by mail order expert Chris Gates in 1983 LifestylesatHome continue to deliver the same value for money and premium brands from duvets and bed linen, watches and clothing, garden and electrical goods, cookware and tableware to storage and motoring, health and fitness.

As LifestylesatHome would be launching into an extremely competitive market place the challenge was significant but one that we are used to at M.A.D.

The brief

The brief was simple, create an identity for the brand online, build a great looking web site to support it and enable us to sell a wider product range, but above all bring customers! The latter we were confident we could achieve, but it would be easier and more cost effective if we had commercial control over the PPC budget and SEO activity. This has proven to be a key decision in the overall success of the site.

Objective

Create a great e-commerce web site with a brand identity that would translate right across digital. At the same time deliver it on a platform that would integrate seamlessly with existing fulfilment system and enable the content and marketing team at Lifestyles to manage product in and out of the site, including banners, News stories and product detail.

Whatever the solution it must be scalable and capable of accommodating the constantly expanding range of products across the site. Couple with this a strategy that would utilise email and newsletter programs as part of its acquisition program the site would have to provide promotional space for multiple campaigns.

"a fresh, clean, uncluttered e-commerce experience"

Mark Temple, Chairman and founder of M.A.D

It was clear to M.A.D that the Smartlift system could support all these business requirements in a single platform.

Solution

LifestylesatHome product page The site uses a simple 4 colour brand experience which alleviates any tendency to over complicate the site which can be an issue with some e-commerce sites in the market today. The result, a fresh, clean, uncluttered e-commerce experience designed in every way to present great looking product, easy to access and above all easy to buy!

The site has a 'Just in' list featuring products that have quite literally just arrived in the warehouse resulting in a level of perceived exclusivity. Using the Smartlift system the product managers are able to publish new products onto the site just as soon as they enter the warehouse!

Result

Since the launch of the site traffic numbers have continued to rise and the site is on target to reach Year 1 target of £1million of sales.

"M.A.D don't just give you a sensational website, they give you a long term, profitable revenue stream."
