Web Programmer / Developer (ASP / ASP.NET)

The Role

MAD Productions are currently recruiting e-commerce programmers for our expanding team. The candidates ideally would already be involved in the development and implementation of e-commerce strategies across a wide range of clients. You should be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of all aspects of a project and need to have a clear understanding of the build process and the commercial requirements of an e-commerce website.

You will have a minimum of 1 year web development experience working ideally on e-commerce websites and experience of building Content Management Systems.

You should be self motivated and work well in a team of like minded professionals. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to work with teams of Designers and Search Engine Optimisers. You must also have a good command of English Language.

You will be required to demonstrate knowledge of usability, search engines, CMS and developing for multi-platforms are required along with the following core technologies.

Database Administrator, SQL Server 2005

The Role

MAD are recruiting for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team of Web Professionals building some of the industries most leading edge e-commerce strategies.

The role is aimed at the maintenance and creation of database's (future and current development) and DTS packages.

You should be highly adept at moving large amounts of data using a variety of sources such as excel, CSV, MS Access, and be able to suggest solutions to third party data integrations.

Key Skills

  • Very Experienced with SQL Server 2000 and 2005.
  • Very good TSql Skills (creation of script, triggers views etc Set processing, Temp Tables, Cursor processing).
  • Ability to work to deadlines, a team player with good communication skills.
  • Understanding of Normalisation - when and where not to normalise. Use of de-normalised tables.
  • Use of summary tables.
  • Ability to think logically and identify commonalty and many-to-many relationships.
  • Full knowledge of Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, User Defined Functions, User Defined Types.
  • Use of Full Text Searching.
  • Understanding of Referential Integrity, Indexes, Differences between Cluster and other Indexes. Use of full table indexes.
  • Ability to Tune Databases – De-normalise tables, Create indexes, Remove indexes, Change Cluster indexes.
  • Understanding of Transactions, Timestamp columns and Optimistic locking.
  • Cross database queries.

You must have experience of development with .net 2.0 either C# or VB.net as there will be some front-end work.

You should also have an understanding of how information is stored on disk in a database (eg. Partitioning) and how that can affect performance. Experience of clustered database environments is a benefit but not essential as we are moving towards this.

Creative Web Designer

The Role

We are currently recruiting an e-commerce web designer for our expanding team. The candidate idealy would be already involved in the design and implementation of e-commerce strategies across a wide range of clients. They will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of all aspects of a project and need to have a clear understanding of the build process and the commercial requirements of an e-commerce website.

They will have a minimum of 1 years web design experience working idealy on e-commerce websites.

They should be self motivated and work well in a team of like minded professionals. Strong communication skills are essential as they will be required to work with teams of Programmers and Search Engine Optimisers. They must also have a good command of English Language.

Excellent attention to detail is vital. They must be able to fully prepare assets for build in an organised, thorough and accurate manner; able to think from the consumers point of view. Must be passionate about digital communications and have a good understanding of new media communication; have the ability to think clearly, be well organised and self-motivated. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for the role.

They must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of managing PPC Campaigns, managing search bids & phrases, conversion tracking, ROI and a thorough understanding of the commercial requirements of an e-commerce website.
